I would change the part of Clary and Jace being brother and sister and have Jace love Clary so Clary would be in a love triangle with Simon and Jace.

I really liked this book. It has a lot of action and it was a bit of a mystery so it made me think a lot. I would recommend it to people because it is a very good book and i enjoyed reading it.

The setting of City of Bones so far has been a three story building with a store on the bottom floor. Clary and her mother live in the second floor. Later on Clary and her mother move to their farm house in upstate New York so that Clarys mother can get some peace while she works on her art. The time period in this book seems to be very close to presant day. The economy is bad and money is tight.

The main character is Clary Fray. She is a fifteen-year-old girl hew lives in New York City. She is a little over five feet tall and has curly red hair. She is an artist like her mother and she is a Shadowhunter but she doesn't know it.

Jace is Shadowhunter orphaned at a young age by the murder of his father, he lives with the Lightwoods and Hodge Starkweather at the Institute in New York City. He is said to be the best Shadowhunter for his age, having been trained severely by his father prior to his death. He has golden hair, eyes, and skin. He is very arrogant, but is a very kind and thoughtful person underneath, though he tries to hide it.

Simon is Clary's best-friend for about 10 years. He is in love with her, although she does not have the same feelings for him.

Isabelle is Jace's adopted sister, she is beautiful and obnoxious, also a Shadowhunter. She has black hair, black eyes, tall, and very beautiful.

Alec is Isabelle's birth brother. Alec is in love with Jace. He is homosexual but he hides it. He has black hair and blue eyes.

City of Bones

The reason I chose to read this book is because of my friend Kelsey. She is currently writing a book that has the same theme of City of Bones. She told me that if I liked her book than I would like City of Bones.

City of Bones is about a Fifteen-year-old girl named Clary. Clary goes into the Pandemonium Club in New York City and witnesses a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos using bizarre weapons. Clary knows that she should call the police, but it's hard to explain a murder when the body disappears and the murderers are invisible to everyone but Clary.

Clary is startled by her ability to see them. the murderers explain themselves as Shadowhunters: a secret tribe of warriors dedicated to rid the world of demons. Within twenty-four hours, Clary's mom disappears and Clary is almost killed by a grotesque demon.
